IPL 2022: CSK lost the initial match to KKR

IPL 2022: CSK lost the initial match to KKR, however Bravo tied the all-time high.

Delhi is a city in India. The start of the IPL 2022 season was unexpected by the fans. At the absolute least, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) supporters could never have predicted that their title squad would be thrashed in the opening match. However, at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, something similar occurred. The new Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and chose to bat first. Only 131 runs could be scored by CSK. KKR replied by hitting 133 for 4 in 18.3 overs to win the first match. This result would undoubtedly dissatisfy the Chennai Super Kings. However, the team's two most senior players, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) and Dwayne Bravo (Dwayne Bravo), both played admirably.

Dwayne Bravo tied Lasith Malinga's record of capturing the most 170 wickets in IPL history, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni struck his first fifty in the tournament after three years. In 122 matches, Malinga got 170 wickets. In the 152nd match, Bravo finished with 170 wickets. When Sam Billings was removed in the 18th over of KKR's innings, Bravo tied Malinga's record. After scoring 22 runs in 25 balls, Billings was removed.

Bravo had 167 wickets in the IPL prior to this match and needed four wickets to beat Malinga's record. He was unable to equal Malinga's record. However, he matched that by grabbing three wickets. Amit Mishra is third on the list of bowlers who have taken the most IPL wickets, with 166.

Bravo's second ball results in a wicket.

Bravo came in to bowl in the seventh over following the opening powerplay against KKR, and Venkatesh Iyer guided the way to the pavilion on the second ball of his over. He dismissed Nitish Rana after two overs. In the 18th over, Bravo grabbed Billings for the third wicket. Bravo has taken four wickets twice in the IPL and bats every 17 balls.

Bravo holds the record for most T20 wickets.

Bravo only needs one more wicket to equal Malinga's record. By the way, when it comes to total T20 cricket, Bravo is the leading wicket-taker. So far, he has 571 wickets in 522 T20s. With 451 wickets, Imran Tahir is second on the list. Rashid Khan is in third place with 435 wickets.
